Subject: Chenopodium gathering the the UK
Dear All,
has anyone in the UK come across deposits of Chenopodium which might be indicative of prehistoric food gathering for this plant, comparable with the remains from Germany, Denmark and the lake villages in Switzerland? I am familiar with Behre's 2008 review, as well as Kirleis et al's 2012 review of the German evidence , and Stokes and Rowley-Conwy's 2002 experimental paper with references. However, in this case I was looking for UK examples of large deposits of seeds of this plant.
All the best,
Don.
