The ORSTAT (Operations Research & Business Statistics) group of the
Faculty of Economics and Management of The Catholic University of
Leuven, Belgium, has announced a research position for the period of
Oct. 1, 2007 until Sept. 30, 2009 (possibly until 2011). The research
should lead to a Ph.D. degree. You will find a dynamic and pleasant
working environment, in a group which conducts research at the highest
international level.
Candidates should preferably have a background as Master of Science in
Statistics, Business Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Economics,
Economics, Civil Engineering or Computer Science... We expect you to
have a great interest in statistics. An average yearly result of
"distinction" during the university education is required, as is a
decent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of Dutch is
an advantage. The most important thing is that you share our enthusiasm
for scientific research.
