Role and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Biostatistics you will manage your own subsection of Biostatistics to ensure that consistently high statistical support
is provided to R&D and Medical Affairs. Key aspects of this role will include leading and managing the performance of approximately five statisticians, (including staff appraisals) and assisting with capacity planning and resource allocation. You will cooperate closely with peers and external experts to consistently guarantee efficiency and quality statistical support. You will provide statistical expertise to the clinical development program for assigned projects to ensure that scientifically valid conclusions are drawn and take full statistical responsibility for clinical development plans and interactions with regulatory authorities.
You will assist with assessing capabilities and maintaining good relationships with third party vendors. In addition you will lead and contribute to local and
global process improvement and infrastructure projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
With a University degree in Statistics and advanced knowledge of SAS programming you must demonstrate significant experience in applying statistical methods in biomedical research either in a pharmaceutical or contract research environment. Some supervisory experience is required and you must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
