Announcement and Call for Papers

The 25th Conference on Applied Statistics in Ireland, CASI –2005,
will be held at the Manor House Country Hotel, Kiladeas, Enniskillen,
Northern Ireland during May 18th-20th, 2005 under the auspices of the
Irish Statistical Association.
Invited speakers include:
Professor Sir David Cox (Nuffield College, University of Oxford)
'From Public Policy to Particle Physics: Some Problems and
Challenges'
Professor Alan Gelfand (Duke University, Durham, USA)
'Multivariate Spatial Process Modelling'
Professor Andy Grieve (Kingston Univeristy, London & Pfizer)
'Issues to Consider Before Implementing an Adaptive Bayesian Design
in Pharmaceutical R&D'
Professor Jane Hutton (University of Warwick)
'Statistics, Politics and Ethics'
Professor David Spiegelhalter
(MRC Biostatistics Unit, University of Cambridge)
'From Stars to Stats: Performance Monitoring in the NHS'
Contributed papers (for oral and poster presentations) are sought in
all areas of statistics and data analysis. Titles and abstracts (of no more
than 2 A4 pages) should be submitted by 31st March 2005.
Conference Registtration Deadline: 15th April 2005.
