We are looking for a Statistical Information Officer (CancerStats) to join our
Statistical Information Team. In this new and challenging role, you will assist
with the production of our flagship CancerStats reports, taking on varied tasks
such as producing accurate UK cancer statistics, summarising the latest
epidemiological research and transferring key information to the website. You
will also contribute to our statistical information service, providing key
information and statistics to a wide audience, including journalists, policy
makers, health professionals, researchers and students/academics.
Ideally a graduate with a statistical or analytical component to your degree
and at least a year’s work experience (or relevant postgraduate qualification),
you will have excellent written communication skills and possess the ability to
translate complex information to a lay audience. You will need a keen eye for
detail and strong analytical and numerical skills. Competent in MS Word and
Excel, you might also have experience of using bibliographic software such as
Endnote and/or basic HTML. You will have good organisational skills and be
comfortable working as part of a team or independently.

audience both internally and externally.
