The U.K. Govt position on testing is that there is a trade-off between the cost entailed in maximising early testing and the cost of treating the illness.
This seems like a false trade-off for various reasons - not the least of which being that if you are able to isolate immediately the onward infection rate is minimised or eliminated.
Question - what would be the ‘definitive academic paper’ which would support the case for seeking 100% self-testing? And does such a paper exist?
As usual, please only reply to my email address (not seeking a group discussion!)
Many thanks
