LEUKAEMIA RESEARCH FUND CENTRE FOR CLINICAL EPIDEMIOLOGY AT THE
UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS
STATISTICIAN/EPIDEMIOLOGIST
ADVERT
The above post is available immediately, for a fixed period until March
2001 in the first instance. As well as collaborating with other
research centres in the UK and abroad, the Leeds Centre collects and
analyses its own descriptive, case-control and cohort data. The
appointee would work on a variety of possible projects that would
include case-control studies.
Applicants should have a PhD in statistics, epidemiology or related
subject. They should also be fully familiar with the analyses of large
epidemiological datasets and have an up-to-date knowledge of modern
software packages. Experience of GIS/or using census data would be
useful.
Salary will be on the scale for Research Staff Grade 1A
(£17,958-£23,241) or Grade II (£21,436-£28,545), according to
qualifications and relevant experience.
