Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Statistics within Imperial College’s growing and diverse School of Public Health (SPH), specifically in the Department of Primary Care and Public Health. This is an exciting opportunity for those interested in medical research and teaching.
We hold a rich array of local, national and international databases and are looking for a candidate with a record of excellent research and statistical experience, capable of driving forward the analysis to contribute to our leading research presence. The appointee will also have experience of providing high quality teaching to a large and enthusiastic undergraduate and postgraduate student cohort. Additionally, the post offers the opportunity to contribute to MPH and PhD supervision, postgraduate medical education within Imperial College Faculty of Medicine, and also to the School’s Masters and short course programme.
The postholder will work closely with Dr Alex Bottle and Professor Azeem Majeed and will be based at the Charing Cross Hospital Campus, located in Hammersmith, as a member of the Department of Primary Care and Public Health. The postholder will participate generally in the department’s activities and may take on other duties in agreement with their line manager.
You should have a PhD in Statistics or a closely related discipline, or equivalent research, industrial or commercial experience, Knowledge of research methods and statistical procedures and the ability to conduct a detailed review of recent literature are also required.
This post is full time and open-ended and will be based at the Charing Cross Campus, Hammersmith.
