The Diabetes and Inflammation Laboratory require an experienced statistician with an established track record to join our statistics group. This is an exciting opportunity, offering the potential for methodological development in the context of making a meaningful contribution to the understanding of type 1 diabetes and potential therapeutic approaches.
We are working to understand the mechanism through which genetic variation can influence disease risk using extensive molecular biological phenotyping both of healthy individuals who carry genetic susceptibility variants and, within the context of intervention trials, with individuals with new onset diabetes. We are located in the Cambridge Biomedical Research Campus and have strong collaborative links with the MRC Biostatistics Unit under its recently appointed Director, Professor Sylvia Richardson.
