The Office for National Statistics (ONS) and the Ministry of Agriculture
Fisheries and Food (MAFF) who commission the FAMILY EXPENDITURE SURVEY and
NATIONAL FOOD SURVEY respectively are collaborating on a merger programme to
produce a single expenditure and food survey. Denis Down, Paul Hunter and
Reg Gatenby (ONS) and Stan Speller (MAFF) will present the plans and
progress so far.
The meeting will be chaired by Professor Andrew Chesher (Department of
Economics, University College London)
