I've heard it all now!! SLC has thoroughly mucked up a student's
Loan payment - paid it into the wrong bank account not once, but
twice! So he is still waiting for the second instalment. SLC have
now agreed to make a manual payment but this will be the third
instalment early as they have to sort out the second instalment!
The whole matter has driven the student to desperation and it has
taken me innumerable telephone calls (with one SLC person
contradicting another) to get to the present stage where we HOPE
(and yes, I know capitals in an e-mail mean anger!) the payment is
in the student's bank account (the correct one) on Friday.
I suggested that an abject letter of apology to the student might
help and I was told that this was not possible! A written complaint
to the Complaints team must be made to elicit a letter of apology.
I think it's Bah Humbug time all the year round for SLC!
Anyone have a direct line to SLC Complaints?!!
