that the Folklore Society has just produced a booklet
(36 pages) on "Cunning Folk: An Introductory
Bibliography", ed. Owen Davies and Lisa Tallis. It's
intended to point people in the direction of useful
sources on this still too-little studied area of
popular magical practice. Costs £5.75 (p&p incl), and
can be got from: The Folklore Society, The Warburg
