The study raises an important methodological issue that I've found in a
few other studies on paranormal belief, experience, etc. Since it seeks
to explain the impact of social influences upon paranormal belief by
using controlled experiments and undergraduate research participants in
a university setting, it unfortunately offers yet another
unrepresentative sample with regard to broader society.
