Interesting - Galatians being Christians in Gaul??
Actually my version of the Havamal account of Odin's trances doesn't say
he died -
just that he hung on the tree - and then there is a a second verse:
"They offered me neither
bread nor drink
then I bent over
took up the runes
took them up screaming
and fell to the ground"
Assuming thats a good translation - then it seems like he is inverted.
I heard somewhere there are some witchcraft techniques that involve
suspension in a bag (cauldron?) or witches cradle -
assuming that's genuine??
