I would agree with that. I think a lot of Pagans, myself included, feel that
studying and practising Paganism involves more hard work, more and deeper
thinking, and more self-scrutiny and that the 'New Age' does not. For
example, we've all heard of the weekend 'shaman' where someone runs a
'shamanism' workshop for two days and the people who attend feel that they
can immediately go and start a business as a 'shaman' because they are now
'qualified'. The New Age seems to always include a business component too, I
think Pagans tend to think this is a bit ho hum as well. Just an
observation.
Thanks,
~Caroline.

Hi,
A lot of pagans I have met regard themselves as different to and superior to
New Agers, as if the wisdom of the latter is inherently inferior to their
own. Just an observation.

As far as many folks are concerned we're
all ruddy New Agers, like it or not! ;)
