Dear Christophe,

| I found a tiny 'bug' in the edit windows of the file selection dialog:

| 'blank lines will be ignored' at the bottom of the edit box is
| misleading).
Thanks! I'd noticed that too...
Fixed spm_get.m is now available from the SPM99b updates area:
ftp://ftp.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/spm99b_updates/spm_get.m
This also fixes problems with the "Keybd" button: When switching to command
line entry spm_get would crash on encountering an unknown variable. I'd
forgotten to set the Fonts and FontSizes for the current platform!
| By the way, we are having a stupid bug with NFS here and some
| filenames can be (randomly) duplicated: e.g. 'ls *.img | uniq -d' can
| show the list of duplicated file names. Of course, this affects spm's
| filenames' filter and that is why we need to use the 'edit' window a
| lot.
I see.
| Having a filter in spm code that would remove duplicated filenames in
| a file list, would help a lot. I know it is not appealing to modify
| spm code to handle a site-specific bug. However, it could also be
| useful to prevent naive users to select the same file twice (which
| creates big problems with normalisation for example). Yet, I don't
| know if any operation requires the same file name to appear twice in
| the list.
There are situations where it is useful to be able to select multiple
copies of the same images, but all the circumstances I can think of are
when I'm testing rather than in a production situation.
I'll consider it!
| Finally, I would love to have a button allowing to import a filenames'
| list from a text file... (this would be useful in the command line
| interface too)
Yes, a few people have asked for this. Just don't have time to do it!
As a workaround, you should be able to copy the list of filenames into the
Matlab command window in command-line mode, and you can get to command line
mode from the GUI via the (now fixed) "Keybd" button.
Hope this helps,
-andrew
