Subject: [LIS-E-RESOURCES] Oxford Reference
Hi folks,
Is anyone else as annoyed as I am at Oxford for including an advertisement on the new homepage of Oxford Music Online (successor to Grove Music Online)? They have included an ad for the Encyclopedia of Popular Music on the new homepage for the product. We do not subscribe to this online and cannot seem to get them to remove the reference. It will look to our users as if we subscribe and when they select the link there is an advertisement.
Screen snaps.

It seems to me that if we accept as a group the insertion of advertisements in our paid products that we will be constantly assailed by faculty and students for titles which we cannot afford or which replicate titles which we have in print or for which we have selected alternative products. I would like to urge anyone who has similar concerns to forward them to Oxford as they have been very non-responsive to my complaints.
Mike
