The Journal of Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Law is looking for an assistant editor.
JIANL is a peer reviewed journal dedicated to immigration, refugee, nationality and free movement law in the UK and internationally. It is the official journal of the Immigration Law Practitioners' Association, the professional body for UK immigration lawyers, and has a wide readership amongst academics and professionals. The journal is published four times a year by Bloomsbury, which also owns Hart Publishing. It receives submissions from academics in the UK and abroad and from leading practitioners. Its contents report on current developments and offer reflective and contextual material in the form of articles, news, book reviews and case notes.
The managing editor is Dr Helena Wray who works with an expert editorial board, including three academic associate editors and editors for news, case notes and book reviews. Production is supervised by the production editor, Kiran Goss. We are now looking for an assistant editor to support the managing editor both in the day to day management of the journal and in its development, particularly in obtaining high quality articles on the full range of issues of interest to the readership and in maximising the impact of the journal. The job description for the post is below.

Much of the work can be done remotely. Editorial meetings are held four times a year in London (for which UK train fares will be paid). There is a small annual honorarium.
