This week Members marked the launch of the ALT Members Group in Northern Ireland, celebrated Open Education Week and contributed a session on CMALT to the Jisc Digifest.

2.2 Ten video trends you should know about to enhance the student learning experience – new research shared by Panopto
Video has quickly become a dominant learning and communications medium. Panopto, a provider of video management, lecture capture, and flipped classroom software for the education market, recently commissioned new research in partnership with youth trend experts Voxburner to find out what students think about technology and video for learning. More than

2.3 Research and Innovation in Distance Education and E-learning Conference 2018, Senate House, London, 16 March 2018
Registration is now open for this annual one-day event. The theme is Learning Design: Integrating Learning, Teaching and Student Support; the event explores new directions and developments in distance education and technology-enhanced learning. With a strong research focus, it incorporates outputs from the CDE’s programme of Teaching and Research

The Jisc 'Digital student experience' survey has been developed over three years, first through research reviews, original research and consultation with students, and subsequently through extensive user trials (ca 30k student users) and factor analysis of the survey instrument.
