2.1 ALT Annual Conference 2017, University of Liverpool, 5 - 7 September 2017

The full interactive programme for the Annual Conference 2017 ‘Beyond islands of innovation – how Learning Technology became the new norm(al)’ has now been published.

2.3 Virtual attendance of the Annual Conference 2017 in Belfast

For those unable to travel to the Annual Conference from Ireland, the  ALT Northern Ireland Members Group have organised a free virtual get together for the 5 and the 6 September in Belfast. This will include a get-together with streaming of the main sessions from the conference.

2.4 Webinar: Exploring the potential of technology to support reflection on individual learning journeys, 30 August 2017, 16.00 BST

In this webinar, Sarah Tutton (PGCE Student) and Geoff Rebbeck (Lecturer) from Canterbury Christ Church University will showcase students’ use of PebblePad workbooks and assets to improve their own educational experience and prepare for life after the PGCE. They will discuss how they used PebblePad as a personal learning space to document placements all over the world and produce a final portfolio that can be added to even after graduation. This webinar is suitable for anyone looking to refresh the design of their PGCE and/or those thinking of adopting an ePortfolio solution.

2.5 Jisc Digital leaders programme - higher and further education, Belfast, 9 - 10 and 23 - 24 November 2017

The four-day programme is made up of a pair of two-day residential workshops. It will equip participants with the tools, knowledge and skills to:

• Become a more effective digital leader through their own personal and professional development

• Explore how organisations can engage more effectively with the digital technology at their disposal – at strategic and operational levels

• Discover and reflect on how digital technology is changing the way their organisation operates – creating new leadership challenges and strategic opportunities

2.6 Data Matters: Work effectively in the new HE landscape, Central London, 23 November 2017

Drawing upon the combined expertise of HESA, Jisc and QAA (the M5 group), this event will bring together data, digital and quality experts and practitioners from across the higher education sector to discuss the topical issues around data and its use.
