CALLING FOR BIBLIOGRAPHY ABOUT

THE LANDSCAPE ARCHAEOLOGY OF GREECE

The LAG’s workgroup for the collection of literature references has completed the creation of a database of bibliographic references about the landscape archaeology in Greece. In order to check the records of the database, the workgroup is calling all the researchers of diachronic Greek human and natural landscape to send bibliographies, not only of their own projects, but also of any known research activity - academic or individual - in this field.


More precisely, LAG is interested in references of monographs, articles, papers etc. about: 



    a.. Archaeological surface surveys, 
    
    
    b.. Environmental studies, 
    
    
    c.. Ethnoarchaeology,
    
    
    d.. Geoarchaeology,
    
    
    e.. Social anthropology,
    
    
    f.. Geophysical prospecting and remote sensing, 
    
    
    g.. Geochemical soil analysis, 
    
    
    h.. Agricultural landscape, 
    
    
    i.. Human Geography, 
    
    
    j.. Settlement patterns, 
    
    
    k.. Survey methodology,
    
    
    l.. Survey results (preliminary or final).
    
    
IMPORTANT NOTE: The references must be limited within the modern geographic borders of Greece.


The bibliographical references must include the following information:



    1.. Authors’ or editors’ names
    
    
    2.. Title
    
    
    3.. Year of publication (or unpublished)
    
    
    4.. Place of publication
    
    
    5.. Publisher
    
    
    6.. Where the title is published (journal, congress etc.)
    
    
    7.. Pages
    
    
    8.. Language
    
    
    9.. Geographic area of reference
    
    
    10.. Historical period of reference
    
    
    11.. A summary of 10 - 15 lines (optional)
    
    
    12.. Five to ten keywords
    
    
All the new bibliographical references will be included in the database, which will be published soon by the Landscape Archaeology Group under the title: LANDSCAPE ARCHAEOLOGY LITERATURE, GREECE, EDITION 1.0 (LABgr1.0). The database has been developed with Access 97 software.
