Dear All: One of the suggestions to come out of my recent message regarding which publications users would like to see in the IAML(UK) library was that we ought to have a subscription to Cultural Trends. For those who don't know this publication, it comes out of the Policy Studies Institute and covers arts issues in the broadest sense, including libraries. But it costs £85 per year, which would be quite a drain on the library's budget. On the other hand, if you want up-to-date financial and statistical information on arts matters, it's indispensable. I am therefore writing in the hope of getting answers to the following two questions: 1. is it an item which you think the IAML(UK) library should have, irrespective of price? 2. if so, might you be willing to contribute financially towards it, or perhaps be able to help in some other way - for example, by passing older issues on to the IAML(UK) library once you had finished with them? All responses, positive or negative, gratefully received. Thanks in advance. John W.
