The MGC have recently been sent an up-date from the Mondriaan Foundation which GEM members may find interesting. The Foundation is a Dutch organisation which exists to promote the development and presentation of Dutch art, design and museums both in the Netherlands and abroad. It was established in 1994 and now has an annual budget of $15 million. They provide financial assistance to museums abroad in a variety of ways including: * educational activities around Dutch collections; * international exchanges to promote long-standing ties between Dutch and foreign museums with complentary collections; * exhibitions of Dutch works of art and design; * conserving Dutch art in foreign museum collections; * the production of foreign publications on Dutch art and design; * the promotion of international contacts valuable for the development and quality of Dutch art and design; * transporting and insuring art works for exhibtions; For further information contact: Ms Yvonne Lüdert, Project Manager, Mondriaan Foundation, Jacob Obrechtstraat 56, 1071 KN Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
