Dear Allstat members,

Details for RSS99 (International Conference of the Royal Statistical
Society, Warwick 12-15 July, 1998) can be found on the web page

http://www.warwick.ac.uk/statsdept/rss99/index.html

The theme of the conference will be RISK.

PLEASE NOTE REGISTRATION FORM IS BELOW. FORMS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE ON THE
WEB PAGE.

Please note that the deadline for submission of abstracts is the 31st of
January, 1999. The conference is generating a lot of interest and our
advice is to register and/or send an abstract in the very near future.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSIONS OF ABSTRACTS ARE ON THE WEB PAGE.

Considerable emphasis will be placed on the workshops in addition to
invited and contributed talks. The current list of workshops is
1. Risk-related software
2. Risk scoring (please note that the crime workshop was cancelled because
of a clash of conferences)
3. Change-point and related methods
4. Computer experiments and modelling of computer code
5. Foundations.

There is plenty of scope via contributed sections and workshops to cover
statistical theory and methods in addition to the risk theme. For example
the session on foundations is at an early stage of planning and we would
canvass suggestions.

For enquiries please contact Professor Henry P. Wynn at
