RESEARCH ASSISTANT (STATISTICAL)

Initial salary within the range £16,286-£18,185

A research assistant is required for 12 months to work on a project entitled 
'Income imputation for small areas', funded by the Economic and Social Research 
Council. This project involves the evaluation of alternative methods for  
area, household and individual level income imputation. The research will draw 
upon data collected during the recent UK Census Rehearsal and will require a 
number of extended visits to the Census Office in Titchfield (Southampton) 
during the course of the project. Applicants should have at least a 2:1 honours 
degree or equivalent and evidence of formal training or extensive research 
experience in statistical analysis.  Although ideally the post will be Liverpool 
based, applications from potential telecommuters are welcome.
