Dr Robin Henderson, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Lancaster will speak on: 'FRAILTY MODELS AND EFFECTS IN SURVIVAL ANALYSIS' All are welcome to attend. Abstract: Frailty effects are used to model heterogeneity in univariate surival analysis or association in multivariate survival. This talk reviews frailty models, discusses the consequence of ignoring frailty and considers how frailty effects can be detected and estimated. A bivariate survival example is used to illustrate the techniques.
