Dear all- I'm hoping perhaps for a great stroke of luck. The members of this list are always so generous 1)My dissertation is on the Saint's-Day sermons written to Louis IX (Saint Louis). One mss I need, Bordeaux BM 297, the library has informed me is unavailiable on microfilm. They havn't said why (ie: whether its not microfilmable, or whether worms ate the mss and it no longer exists?) It is a mss of sermons compiled by Petrus Berengarius. Has anybody worked with this mss? either off of microfilm or in Bordeaux? or (more hopefully) is there anybody out there who happens to have, or have access to, this mss? 2) As all of you who work on sermons know, Schneyer, though indispensable, is also unreliable. So, I am putting out a general call to all those who work on sermon-manuscripts pleading you to inform me if you should come accross, in your work, sermons written in honor (or exemplum concerning) Saint Louis of France. Especially, if it is one that schneyer missed. Roughly, I'd be interested in any and all semrons thorugh about 1500 (or thereabouts). I just discovered 4 in the collection of Uppsala not listed in Schneyere, and it drove home how incompletet my collection must be. Many thanks in advance.
