I apologize for the reposting, but I meant to change the subject heading before I sent the last message out. I also want to reach people who may not be reading messages with the Vulgate heading. Sorry to clog your boxes. Can anyone (Elizabeth?) point me to sources which might give me information about the monastery library at Bury St. Edmunds? Do we know what books this particular library contained? Did the great fire in 1465 affect the library? Do we know what survived and how these books were dispersed during/after the dissolution of the monastery? Any catalogues?
