I'd hate to resurrect the 'mainstream' debate, but Hill is a mainstream
poet in the sense that he is published by Penguin (and as such, he is a
welcome antidote to the New Generation types promoted by Faber/Bloodaxe et
al), but Prynne is definitely not, judging by the difficulty I've had
getting hold of his books.

How is it that one became mainstream and the other didn't?
