The Department of Modern Languages of the College of Staten Island/CUNY seeks candidates for the position of Director of the Modern Languages Multi-Media Center/Computer Technology, to coordinate and support the integration of multi-media technologies in the teaching of French, Italian, Spanish, and American Sign Language. Principal duties are managing the department's Multi-Media Center; providing support and training to faculty, staff, and students in media-based pedagogy; developing digital information resources on the Internet; developing and maintaining home pages; evaluating, testing, and implementing multi-media materials for language, literature, and culture courses; trouble-shooting; serving as liaison with the Office of Information Technology and the Library. Qualifications: baccalaureate degree and minimum of four years' experience required. Doctorate or master's in educational technology, education, or related field; knowledge of one or more of the languages taught; competence with PC and MAC platforms, Windows, and Internet/Intranet applications preferred.
