Glaber wrote this passage in the mid 1040s. A slightly later hand 
made interpolations to the text which attached the story in altered 
form to Marmoutiers. My own guess was that the base story was a 
common one used by Glaber, Jotsald and the unknown interpolator to 
exhalt their houses.
