Dear All,
A Special Issue of The Journal of Critical Psychology, Counselling and Psychotherapy (Volume 19, Number 4, December 2019) honouring the work of and championed by, Tod Sloan,  has just been published. I had the privilege of being the Guest Editor.
Tod played key roles in Counseling Psychology, community psychology and critical psychology in the USA and internationally, supporting activists and change agents in grassroots ecological and social justice organizations.  Tod Sloan served from 2005 to 2015 as the founding co-editor of the Journal for Social Action in Counseling and Psychology, officially sponsored by Psychologists for Social Responsibility and Counselors for Social Justice and edited the Palgrave book series called Critical Theory and Practice in Psychology and the Human Sciences.
The contents of the Special Issue are as follows:

Editorial – Tod Sloan: work in progress (David Fryer)
Tod Sloan’s Struggle (Dennis Fox)
Valediction for Tod (John Kaye)
An interview with Tod Sloan (Wayne Dykstra and Tod Sloan)
Tod Sloan (1952–2018)’s Micro Critical Psychology Movement: a view and memoir of a Japanese critical psychologist (Yasuhiro Igarashi)
Ghost Walks or Thoughtful Remembrance. How should the heritage of psychiatry be approached? (Elisabeth Punzi)
Against Humanism (Grant Jeffrey)
The Emergent Rebel: Tod Sloan’s legacy in critical psychology and beyond (Creston Davis)
Proposal for Courses and a Certificate at the Institute for Critical Psychology, Global Center for Advanced Studies (Tod Sloan)
If You Are A Critical Psychologist, Read and Cite Tod Sloan (Robert K Beshara)
(end)
JCPCP, edited by Craig Newnes, has long been a subscription journal without a web presence. Regrettably, this is the last issue of JCPCP so subscriptions are no longer being accepted. However, it now seems almost certain that an online version of JCPCP will be launched early in 2020 and likely that the Tod Sloan SP will be re-published there. I will notify list members when that has happened.

David
