In light of the fact that research ethics and processes of institutional ethics review have been the focus of quite a bit of recent discussion on Anthropology Matters, I wanted to draw list members' attention to the following survey (current ASA members should have already received a survey invitation, but the survey is open to non-members as well):

ASA experiences of institutional ethics review survey

You are invited to participate in an anonymous online survey being conducted by the ASA Ethics Guidelines Review Working Group that aims to learn more about your experiences of institutional ethics review – especially in light of recent legislative changes such as the General Data Protection Regulation.

The survey will take between 15-30 minutes to complete, depending on how much you choose to elaborate on your responses. The results of the survey will be made available on the ASA website and may also be published in scholarly journals. They will inform the revisions to the ASA ethics guidelines and other Association activities in the area of research ethics.

If you wish to participate in the survey, it will be open until November 30th, 2019. To begin the survey, please click on the link below: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/M9BRNP9
