University College Dublin (UCD), School of Civil Engineering are inviting applications for a 5-year Assistant Professor/Associate Professor role in the discipline of transportation engineering. The School of Civil Engineering is a dynamic, research-driven school with a clear focus on delivering excellent teaching programmes. The School is home to two research centres: the Centre for Critical Infrastructure Research and the Centre for Water Resources Research. The successful appointees will have ample opportunity to develop their own research agendas in these areas. The successful candidate will have the ability to engage actively in the School's research and to make a significant contribution to teaching and university life. The School welcomes applicants with a background in transportation engineering, transport policy or transport planning. As part of their application, applicants are requested to submit: a 2-page research statement, outlining a 3-year research plan; a 2-page teaching statement, outlining a planned approach to teaching and module development, with a particular emphasis on new transport modules. *95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor Above the Bar* Salary Scale: *€52,848 - € 83,090 per annum.* *95 Associate Professor* Salary Scale: *€68,663 - €95,916 per annum.* Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines. *Closing date:* 17:00hrs (local Irish time) on *16th August 2019.* Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified.
