Hello everyone,

We’re looking to put together a brief and friendly set of guidelines for volunteers undertaking research for talks and tours given to the public. I’m thinking basic principles like the guidance produced by HLF NI for the decade of centenaries (start from the facts, be aware of different interpretations etc) from MA conference last year, and some basic principles (e.g. being aware of bias, what are primary and secondary sources, using different sources).

Does anyone have something you’ve already written that you’d be willing to share? Or any top online guides you’d recommend?

Also keen to hear from anyone that offers training in this type of thing, as we may have some budget we can allocate to it 😊

Jenny
