Lecturer in Actuarial Science, School of Mathematical Sciences, University College Cork (Specific Purpose Whole Time Post 3-Years)

UCC wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Actuarial Science. The appointee will ideally be a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) but applicants holding a PhD in Actuarial Science or closely related discipline (e.g. Statistics) will also be considered. 

Reporting to the Head of School of Mathematical Sciences, the Lecturer will play an important role in the development of the Statistics Department, including supporting its responsibilities for delivery of the core principle syllabus of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and associated programme accreditation. 

Appointment may be made on the Lectureship Salary Scale: €64,627- €83,096 (Scale B) / €61,487 - €79,068 (Scale A) per annum. Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
