Workshops on On-demand and Shared Mobility: September 10th and September 13th, 2019 at Technical University of Munich, Germany.

Dear colleagues,

The International Scientific Conference on Mobility and Transport - Mobil.TUM 2019 - is taking place at Technical University of Munich (TUM) on September 11-12, 2019.

On September 10th from 9:30am to 2:00 pm, a first workshop with representatives from the automotive industry has been proposed to discuss the role of on-demand and shared mobility. On September 13th, two more workshops will take place. The second workshop on “On-demand and Shared Mobility” will take place in the afternoon, from 1:00 pm to 5:00pm (Setp. 13th). It targets an academic audience and focuses on radical changes in transportation due to on-demand mobility services. Spontaneous candidatures are welcome at this stage.

The business-oriented workshop on “On-demand and Shared Mobility” targets a diverse audience that includes policymakers, industry representatives, and academics. The workshop will focus on understanding whether these new mobility services will allow policymakers achieving their ambitious sustainability targets in the upcoming future.
The workshop will cover the following thematics:

  *   Mobility as a Service platforms (MaaS);
  *   The evolution of car ownership;
  *   On-demand services;
  *   Car-Sharing;
  *   Self-driving vehicles & electric cars;
  *   Regulation and policies;

On-demand and Shared Mobility Research Workshop (September 13th)

The widespread diffusion of shared mobility services and electric vehicles is radically changing how people and goods move. These new mobility trends have the potential to create a future with lower emissions, greener transportation, and reduced congestion. The researcher-oriented workshop on “On-demand and Shared Mobility” aims at investigating the attitude of different cultures towards these new mobility solutions. The discussion will involve top researchers from US, Europe and South America, in order to analyze the impact of these new mobility trends across the world.
 The workshop will cover the following thematics:

  *   Integrating Public Transport and on demand services;
  *   Electrification;
  *   Mobility as a Service (MaaS);
  *   Autonomous Vehicles;
  *   Car Sharing & Carpooling;
