The MolSSI is pleased to sponsor a select number of graduate students and
postdocs from the U.S. to participate in a workshop on cloud computing in
the molecular sciences. The workshop will have two components:

   - A symposium and hands-on training event September 3-5, 2019, at the Hotel
   GIO in Perugia, Italy
   <https://www.hotelgio.it/en/perugia-congress-centre/>
   - A project writing workshop September 5-6, 2019, at the Accademia delle
   Scienze in Rome, Italy

The symposium in Perugia is a component of the 12th European Conference on
Computational Theoretical Chemistry (CTC EUCO 2019)
<http://www.dcbb.unipg.it/euco2019>, and the second will focus on the
development of a project proposal to the European Open Science Cloud
<https://www.eosc-portal.eu/>.

The MolSSI will provide up to $1,600 to cover the registration fees,
economy-class airfare, and Hotel GIO accommodations for up to seven (7)
U.S. graduate students or postdocs. Applicants should first register for
the CTC EUCO 2019 Open Molecular Science Cloud (OMSC) workshop using the
form available here <http://www.dcbb.unipg.it/euco2019> (note that it is
not necessary to pay the registration fee until after decisions have been
made regarding the MolSSI’s support), and then send the following materials
to Prof. Antonio Laganà ([log in to unmask]):

   - Registration confirmation for CTC EUCO 2019;
   - A short (maximum one page) abstract for a research idea with the OMSC;
   - A letter of recommendation from his/her adviser;
   - A commitment to participate in the training sessions to be held at the
   Hotel GIO in Perugia;
   - A commitment to participate in the project-writing session in Rome, if
   selected.

The hard deadline for receipt of all application materials (including
letters of recommendation) is July 12th, 2019.
