Hello all

Following a complaint I received about a GEM list user a couple of weeks ago, and then two emails sent today blatantly promoting a paid-for service, I have amended the user’s subscription, so that their messages to the GEM list are subject to moderation.

Spreading the word about a specific event is fine, whether it’s free or charged for.  Sending repeated reminders advertising a commercial service or product is not.

As far as I can remember, this has only been applied once before (maybe twice) in the last 20 years,   Anyway, I’m just letting you know that action has been taken in this case.

All best

Martin
