Dear Ahmed,

this looks like the same problem that has been reported earlier by Mark Grier and Emma Strawderman. 

I am afraid I have not been able to find an explanation for it. Mark kindly shared his data with me, but despite running eddy on it on all our GPU nodes I was not able to reproduce the problem.
