Hello,
	  If you are just looking to create a “padded” image, then you can use something like

fslroi /Users/mwebster/fsl/data/standard/MNI152_T1_2mm.nii.gz foo 0 192 0 224 0 192 

to add extra voxels, note you can make the “min” parameters ( which are 0 in the example above ) to negative values to pad on the other side.
