Dear Colleagues,

I would like to advertise an open postdoctoral position in the School of Engineering at Brown University. The position is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and is part of a new $3.4-million center to use machine learning in complex chemical systems. This particular position is to develop and implement machine learning potentials/forces in molecular dynamics. The successful applicant must have strong communication skills and be able to work well within a larger team. Additional requirements include extensive experience in molecular dynamics (particularly LAMMPS), and method development for force fields. Proficiency with scientific computing (e.g. Python), familiarity with electronic structure methods, as well as software carpentry (e.g. github), are highly valued.

Brown University is located in Providence, Rhode Island, a medium-sized city in New England, one-hour by train Boston and three-hours by train from New York City.
