Dear colleagues,

Fully funded PhD positions in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry are available in the group of Prof. Shirin Faraji at University of Groningen, The Netherlands.

Topic: The successful candidate will work on the development and application of hybrid quantum/classical dynamical simulations to study light-induced processes (excited-state dynamics) in biomolecules and novel materials. Project details can be further discussed via a Skype semi-interview.

Requirements: Applicants should have a M.Sc. (or equivalent degree) in Physics or Chemistry. He/She should have a strong background in chemistry and fundamental physics. Experience in electronic structure theory, computational quantum/classical dynamics, and good knowledge of programming tools are desirable. Candidates are expected to express a strong motivation in pursuing a PhD in theoretical chemistry/physics and describe their computational and mathematical background.

To apply for the position, please provide a cover letter, CV, 1-2 letter of recommendations directly to [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> .

Deadline for application: May 1st, 2019

Kind regards,
