Auchindrain Township are looking to purchase new digital recording equipment for use in oral history interviews, including both an audio recorder and microphone. Ideally the equipment would be able to record in stereo using two external microphones, be able to record uncompressed PCM WAV files and have a USB connection. We often interview people whilst walking around our site so the equipment and any microphone needs to be portable and relatively weatherproof and (if possible) minimise wind noise as it can be pretty wild here in Argyll.

Does anyone have any suggestions or experience of similar equipment, or can suggest someone who does? Names of makes and models would be much appreciated.
