2.1 Student response system Meetoo has changed name to Vevox

You may have already heard the news that the Student Response System Meetoo became 'Vevox' as of 21 March 2019. For some of you this might be fresh news, but if you are an existing customer then you should have already received communication from Vevox about the change. 2.2 Participate in research study on Using Thematic Analysis in HCI

In recent years, the 6-phase Thematic Analysis approach outlined in Braun and Clarke (2006) gained in popularity amongst the HCI community, as a method useful for analysis of data and informing of design. This research investigates how HCI researchers are using this particular approach to analyse data and map findings to design of technologies. 2.9 Call for Proposals - Measuring Excellence in Higher Education: Approaches and their Impact, University of Wolverhampton, 11-13 September 2019

The HEIR conference is an international event attracting delegates from across the HE sector including: students, teachers, researchers, managers, data practitioners and institutional experts, quality professionals, educational developers, policy makers, digital service specialists, consultants, and all who share an interest in the future of education. Proposals are invited for presentation under one of three broad themes: 1. Defining and ‘measuring excellence’; 2. Critical learning and teaching environments; 3. 2.10 Call for Proposals, OEB Global, Berlin, 27-29 November 2019

2.11 Call for Proposals - Academic Practice and Technology (APT2019) conference, University College London, 1 July 2019

The 17th APT conference, ‘The Changing Roles of Educators in Higher Education’, is co-hosted by the London School of Economics, University College London and the University of Greenwich. APT 2019 will explore how higher and further educators in 2019 are meeting the challenges of student expectations and how their education should prepare them for their future careers. Educators are asking critical questions as their roles change – How can we help our students to thrive in the face of a buffeting digital maelstrom? 2.12 Call for Proposals - 2019 Technology, Pedagogy and Education Association Conference, Winchester, 11-12 July 2019

The TPEA (a partnership between the Association of Teachers in Information Technology, ITTE, and the MirandaNet Fellowship) seeks proposals for its 33rd international conference, on the theme of ‘A richer curriculum? Creating a culture of opportunity in a digital world’. Proposals for posters, short, and long presentations, both research- and practice-oriented, are invited to address the main conference theme and the following sub-themes: Innovative Research; Bridging Pedagogic and Subject Knowledge; Facilitating Professional Dialogue; Influencing Policy and Practice. The conference draws together on the experience, knowledge and expertise of delegates in order to influence edtech policy and practice nationally and internationally. 2.14 2019 Change Agents' Network Conference, The Open University, Milton Keynes, 29-30 May 2019 - Keynote speakers announced and programme now available

2.16 Immersive Learning Research Network Conference 2019, London, 24 - 27 June 2019

iLRN invites the ALT community to attend its annual conference. The event, hosted at the University of Westminster (Cavendish Campus), aims to develop the scientific, technical, and applied potential of immersive learning. This year's theme is "Immersive Learning in Urban Environments". There will be special tracks on augmented reality, digital heritage, serious games, wearable technology, medical education, creative learning, gerontology, data visualisation, among other topics. This year keynote is Prof. Mel Slater from University of Barcelona, with invited speakers from Ordnance Survey, BT, Promethean and the University of the West of England. Proposals are now being accepted for the 2019 Learning & Teaching Symposium, taking place at University Square, Stratford, on Thursday 19th September. This year's theme is ‘Connected Students’.
