The Second International Workshop on Narrative Extraction from Texts (Text2Story 2019) will be held on April 14th in Cologne, Germany under the umbrella of ECIR’19 (41st European Conference on Information Retrieval). 
Text2Story will feature the presentation of 10 papers, a poster session, 2 keynote speakers (Miguel Martinez-Alvarez and Iryna Gurevych) and a slot for demonstrations.

The program of Text2Story will feature two high-profile keynote speakers: 
 
- Miguel Martinez-Alvarez (Co-Founder / Chief Data Scientist at Signal) will give a talk on “Automatic Media analysis: From monitoring to Insights” 
- Iryna Gurevych (Professor at Technische Universität Darmstadt) will give a talk on "Claim Validation by Humans and Machines: Where We Are and the Road Ahead"
