I am currently carrying out research for a UKSG session in April. In a nutshell, I'm asking "What do publishers want librarians to know?" Despite wide dissemination and a lot of help with sharing, it's proving a challenge to secure participation from those in the publishing community.

If you work in publishing (all business functions are asked to contribute) and care about the publisher-library relationship, please take less than five minutes to share your message to the library community anonymously:

http://bit.ly/librarian-messages

The short free text questionnaire seeks the message that publishers have for the librarians they, or their organisation, interact with.

In 2017, I carried out a similar project (collecting messages from librarians to publishers - summary and links to the data in this Insights article). This current research is prompted by many requests received for the reverse. The candid insights gained from these studies are valuable due to their anonymous and undirected nature.

Results of the current research will be made available openly and completely anonymously. There will be no mention of organisations or names.

Please complete and share the link within your publishing organisation, and if you are a librarian, with your publisher network.

With best wishes and thanks,
