Dear Colleagues,
We are looking for a one-year, fixed term postdoc at Trinity College Dublin. Please see below for details:

Applications are being invited for a postdoctoral research position to investigate the effectiveness of eco-driving in reducing pollution from heavy duty vehicles in the School of engineering at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland.
The postdoctoral researcher will participate in a research project funded by EPA Ireland and is expected to carry out original research in traffic simulation, traffic emission reduction and transport modelling for heavy vehicles.
The specific duties include:

  *   Establishing the state-of-the-art on eco-driving programs for HDV fleets and analysing survey data
  *   Designing driving simulator based experiments and developing VISSIM model to evaluate future policy scenarios
  *   Report writing, presentations and project meetings with government departments & other stakeholders
The candidates must have a PhD in transportation engineering or a closely related field by the start date. Candidates with experience in traffic simulation, eco-driving and data analytics are preferred.

Duration: 12 months; Salary: €38200/annum (Irish University Scale)
