Greetings all,
Can anyone suggest sources of a story about one Zacharias (possibly, but not necessarily, the father of John the Baptist) who was stoned in Jerusalem, and a spring broke forth where his blood fell? I'm not sure how old it is, my reference is from a post-Reformation
source, a poem about St. Veronica (in Icelandic) which makes use of a Life of Pilate, among other things. Zacharias is not, apparently, mentioned in the Icelandic translation of the Gospel of Nicodemus, or any other related source we have been able to find.
Happy New Year to all,
Meg
