The Research Data Alliance (RDA) Europe project<https://www.rd-alliance.org/rda-europe> offers a series of grants to help European participants engage in and contribute to RDA, particularly by reusing and adopting outputs. There are four schemes in total and you can also put yourself forward to evaluate applications:

  * Adoption: these offer up to €15,000 for projects to adopt RDA outputs and recommendations
  * Ambassadors: these offer €7,000 for well-connected domain experts to spread RDA messages and engage their communities in RDA, promoting adoption and providing insights from the fields they represent
  * Early Career & Experts: these support early career researchers and experts to attend plenaries by providing travel bursaries of €1750
  * Nodes: these are intended to provide seed funding for countries or regions to establish entities which act as intermediaries between the global RDA and local interests/needs. Nodes should disseminate information about the RDA, grow membership, represent local interests, support the adoption of outputs, and develop robust sustainability plans.

At present you can apply for adoption grants and ECR/Expert bursaries to support attendance at plenary 13 in Philadelphia. New waves of the node and ambassadors schemes will open in late January and February respectively. You can find out more at the links below:

  * Early career call closes 5th February
  * Expert call closes 5th February
  * Adoption grants closes 4th March
  * Evaluator call closes 28th February

For those in the UK, we encourage you to attend the national node workshop next Friday in London. Kevin Ashley and others from the RDA Europe project will be on hand and able to answer queries about the calls. The national node reps can also support applications. Details of other RDA nodes and national level workshops are on the country pages at: https://www.rd-alliance.org/groups/rda-europe-national-nodes

And don't forget to sign up to plenary 13. Registration will open soon: https://www.rd-alliance.org/plenaries/rda-thirteenth-plenary-meeting-philadelphia-us

See you all in RDA circles in future
